SEAN TROXCLAIR, MD, CNSC
Sean Troxclair MD, CNSC is a physician with formal training in Internal Medicine, Critical Care, and Nutrition. Dr. Troxclair has worked in intensive care units, emergency rooms, and outpatient settings both in the private sector and in academia, as well as teaching medical students and residents. Dr. Troxclair’s career has been spent treating patients with an approach that addresses the whole person, not just individual disease states. He is adept at helping people get off of a multitude of medications and taking control of their health from a biological level, typically starting with nutrition. Early on his gut told him that medicine was not a ‘one size fits all’ practice, and has always been on the fringe with doctors who attempted to go against the grain when addressing his patients individual needs. The practice has allowed him to merge integrative, functional, and nutritional therapies with traditional medicine into a more cohesive practice. Dr. Trox’s goal is to change health outcomes in patients with chronic diseases who are not improving in our current medical system. He wants patients to continue to learn what they can do to become healthier and feels that medicine is ever evolving. Dr. Troxclair wishes to instill in patients information to improve their health on their own, thus freeing themselves from a litany of supplements and medications.
A lifelong resident of Louisiana, Dr. Trox was born in south Louisiana, and transplanted to Shreveport for medical training, showing his heart is attached to the bayou state. He and Deni have been married since 2005, and they feel blessed to have found one another. He has four children who keep his schedule full, as they're home schooled and involved in multiple activities. The family loves to rescue dogs, currently they're up to four, and have a cat to round things out in their small urban zoo! Some would call this chaotic, but for Dr. Trox it's a different kind of peaceful. Dr. Trox loves to fish and hunt, which he does as often as he can with his children. He has been an avid martial artist since 1995, continues to training in new art forms, and also teaches his own students. His newest passion is studying the Bible in depth personally and from multiple biblical scholars. Dr. Trox believes that God is the ultimate healer and that as a physician he may row the boat, but God steers the ship and controls the elements. The ultimate goal he is striving for is using his gifts, knowledge, and skills to help people live healthier lives and turn towards Jesus Christ. |
